Join fellow PKP members for a Pizza party that will begin at 5:30pm followed by a sporting event: OSU Hockey vs. Ferris St. - game time is at 7:05 pm. More details to come. 10/14/2009: The OSU chapter of Phi Kappa Phi will be hosting their 2009 Phi Kappa Phi Initiate Induction on Sunday November 1st, 2009. Initiation will take place at Weigel Hall located on OSU's campus. Registration for the event will begin at noon and the ceremony will promptly begin at 1:00pm.

INVITEE INFORMATION: For those who have not yet accepted an invitation to join Phi Kappa Phi, the deadline is October 20th to make the program, but you can still join up to two weeks beyond the ceremony date. 2) Our information and Q & A session is Thursday, October 15th at 7:00 pm in Evans Lab Rm 2004. 3) Phi Kappa Phi Medallions have arrived for those who wish to buy one. 11/01/2007: The Ohio State University Chapter of Phi Kappa Phi is proud to welcome its newest members at the annual initiation ceremony to be held at Weigel auditorium at 3:30 PM. We are pleased to announce that Dr. Jacqueline Royster, Executive Dean for Arts & Sciences and Professor of English and African American and African Studies will be our featured speaker at the ceremony.

10/16/2007: Ohio State students, faculty, and staff are partnering to provide educational experiences on the Ohio State campus to the 4th and 5th grade students from the Harambee Christian School and Urban Concern Community Center. Coordinated by the P-12 Project, this partnership includes The Ohio State University P-12 Project, The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, The Department of Geological Sciences, The Department of Archaeology, The Office of Minority Affairs, Undergraduate Admissions and First-Year Experience, The Economic Access Initiative, The School of Music, and the Hale Multi-Cultural Center. The educational experiences will focus on Archeology and Geology and take place in Dulles Hall and Orton Hall’s Geology Museum on Tuesday, October 16. This is the first of many partnerships between Urban Concern and Ohio State. Background Information

The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi is the oldest and most selective honor society in the United States that recognizes excellence in all academic disciplines. Founded in 1897, Phi Kappa Phi, along with Phi Beta Kappa, is a charter member of the Association of College Honor Societies. Today, Phi Kappa Phi has more than 1,000,000 members in all parts of the world. Its nearly 300 chapters are on college and university campuses throughout the Unites States, Puerto Rico, and the Phillipines.

The Ohio State University Chapter of Phi Kappa Phi invites eligible juniors, seniors, graduate students, and faculty to membership during Autumn Quarter each year and honors those who accept membership during its annual initiation ceremony, to be held during Autumn Quarter. The chapter uses its share of initiation fees to offer various undergraduate and graduate scholarships.

Membership

Phi Kappa Phi members represent the best and the brightest from all academic disciplines. Invitation to membership is based on academic achievement. Undergraduates eligible for Membership include juniors in the top five percent of their class and the upper ten percent of seniors. Also eligible for membership are outstanding graduate students, faculty, staff, and alumni. Phi Kappa Phi members have excelled in all fields of endeavor.
